The Colorado River Indian Tribal Police Department (CRIT PD) is currently
seeking applicants for Patrol Officers.
The Colorado River Indian Tribes
Indian Reservation is located along the Colorado River on the western edge of
Arizona.
CRIT jurisdiction extends into California. The reservation is
approximately fifty (50) miles long, twenty (20) miles wide
at its widest.
The Police Department serves a varied population of Native
Americans, and non-Indians.
PATROL REQUIREMENTS (NO EXCEPTIONS):
-Must be twenty one years of age.
-No felony convictions.
-Misdemeanor
convictions will be reviewed for its severity.
-Must have a valid
Drivers License, no serious traffic convictions.
-The applicant will
undergo an extensive background investigation.
-Lateral Officers with
POST certification may apply. The Arizona POST test may be challenged in
lieu of the academy.
- Applicant will undergo an oral board, physical
fitness examination (Bureau of Indian Affairs) standards, polygraph
examination, and psychological examination.
-Bureau of Indian Affairs
Police certification are welcome to apply.
-Applicants with no prior law
enforcement experience must attend a nineteen week police academy.
-Applicant must agree to sign a three (3) year contract with the Colorado
River Indian Tribes.
The Colorado River Indian Tribal Police
